Why do we do it?

I mean, sometimes there is this feeling that there are other things to do in life than trying to re-create pantiles in miniature, or make a small forest of trees and on a bad day when none of it looks right we also manage to glue fingers together and then top it all with resting the tip of the soldering iron against said fingers whilst trying to make up the latest etched kit!

But then for all that, it's very satisfying when it all comes together and you learn a new skill.

Being able to create or is that re-create something in miniature, our small 'worlds' ultimately keeps us out of trouble, gives us something to do on cold dark nights and is great fun really.
