Meifford Rolling Stock
The Meifford Light Railway is primarily a freight based line, or should I say, the majority of traffic is slate. Other goods are obviously required both for general goods inward for the local shops and businesses and further distribution to other points on the line.
As it stands right now, there are probably not enough wagons, but more are slowly being built.
There is not much demand for passenger traffic and for that reason Meifford only has a couple of coaches, one 2nd class and one 3rd class! Others are currently in the workshops and will appear over time.
Reality
Goods vans and open wagons are mostly from the Peco range, although there are a few from the Port Wynnstay range, including the workers coach and guards van.
Strangely there are also two Mercian W & L cattle wagons (they needed a bit of work before they could be completed), although no sign of any cattle around Meifford!
Slate and quarry wagons are etched brass kits from the 7mm Narrow Gauge Association and from Locos n Stuff. The kits are quite challenging, but do make up into very nice wagons.
Passenger vehicles are from the Port Wynnstay range.
